I think I had some transient fever the night after my vaccination. I also had slight muscle ache around the injection site.

No, it was mentioned in a German newspaper. Did you get the Pfizer vaccine?

If I continue to hear good things, I will try to get the Pfizer/Biontech vaccine. They say that people with schizophrenia get it earlier. Now according to my doctor, I have schizo-affective disorder. ?

I know 2 variants of Swedish, English, and some German. I'm working on the last.

One diagnosis that covers both sounds less crazy than both of these diagnoses.

Why is it debatable whether you're of a depressive type? Seems to me it should be pretty obvious if depression or mania is the main problem.

It is not an issue with any other vaccines, right? I think it would be fine.

Could you get the vaccine, Phillipa? I probably could in a few weeks, two months tops. A piece of paper from the doctor with my diagnosis would probably be enough. My father is scheduled for Thursday. I am wary of it and hope it will be fine!
Mentally, it is not like getting a flu shot, although maybe it should be.

I am scheduled for March 15. That is if they have the vaccine. Seems they are cancelling people due to shipping it's said from The heavy snows and bad weather across the USA last week. But since they go by health care workers and age. I am in the first tier. But they haven't finished this tier and yet the are opening new ones for on the NC side teachers now. They should finish what they started first. Most of the older neighbors here have already gotten either one or two doses. Still have my doubts about the long term side effects of a drug that was rushed and just released here for Emergency authorization. No animal studies were done first. So I guess the animals being used are human beings. Phillipa

You are scaring me a bit. My father is scheduled this week to receive the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine. I conciously did not interfere with his decision making process. If I told him something and he would get sick because of my advice, that would be awful. I hope it will be alright. I wish it wasn't necessary to make that decision.

Your Dad made his own decision just like I will have to make my own decision. I'm sure he will be fine. So far those that I know get sore arms, fever, and aches and pains or flu like symptoms for a few days and some people got nothing but the sore arm, some not even this. Phillipa

Are there any drawbacks to telling the public health authority your psych diagnosis? That would get me the vaccine much miore quickly. I can always call it off if I deem it dangerous.

Yes it is. My appointment scheduled over a month ago for Pfizer just got an email and text that cancelled due to lack of vaccines . Now on a waiting list. Also there are many reports of swollen lymph nodes under your arms. Due to that when females schedule mammograms they are advised to wait 4-6 weeks? Why do you suppose that is? Phillipa
