It seems like a reasonable augmentation to target norepinephrine. It's done all the time with other drugs like Desipramine. Only Reboxetine supposedly has milder side effects. I'm not aware of any drug-drug interactions concerning Reboxetine and other ADs. There's the possibility the combination might raise plasma levels of either or both of the drugs, but probably not by much. Just so you know, my psychiatrist has already suggested adding Reboxetine to my Prozac as soon as it's available. I think there are a lot more drug-drug interactions with Prozac than Effexor. So it would seem OK based on that. He said I could go ahead and order it overseas if I want, but that it will be easier to get when it becomes available in USA. He says Reboxetine has been heavily promoted behind the scenes for about a year now already, and I'm sure he would be aware by now of any problems in mixing it with other ADs. He mentioned no such concerns. I'm guessing a couple years from now we'll see Reboxetine mixed with all kinds of different ADs.
The only concern I can think of is side effects. With many combinations the side effects aren't much different than monotherapy alone. But you never know. There might be some intolerable unexpected side effects resulting from the combination. It's always prudent to start with very low doses and go slow. If you decide to try it, please keep us updated on how it's going. JohnL

I found some interesting sites on Reboxetine showing that there are no known drug-drug interactions of significance. The combination of Reboxetine and Prozac has been studied.
For some strange reason, the first site doesn't respond by typing in the web address. However, go to Alta Vista and do a search on Reboxetine. Some good info is on the 28th site listed, titled "Reboxetine, A New Force in Depression?" It's a good article pertaining to your question. I don't understand why I can't get there by typing in the address, but you can get there through an Alta Vista search.
