wellbutrin and klonopin combo??

Posted by Michele on December 13, 1999, at 11:07:28

Hi again,

I really need to come to a decision within the next few days regarding choice of meds to start with for GAD/Social Phobia. I am really looking at the Klonopin for anxiety and what about throwing in the wellbutrin or Buspar? Is it done?

You people are so knowledgeable and I am so thankful you are here and willing to share and support.

Michele

I took the Wellbutrin/Klonopin combo for quite awhile. However the Wellbutrin didn't work for my depression, so I changed to Celexa. I still take Klonopin for anxiety. But yes, Klonopin and Wellbutrin are used together. I have not taken Buspar.

Hope this helps.

When I was on wellbutrin solo for a while back a few years ago, in some ways it had me feeling like superman in social situations. I went from being an introvert to an extrovert. But it was too much too fast, and I actually had to calm things out with perphenazine (considerably stronger than klonopin, tho not in the same class of meds). Given how well clonazepam (generic klonopin, but you already know that from a few threads above I'm guessing) has helped smooth out my anxiety, it seems to me that wellbutrin and clonazepam would be a good combo.

Well, I certainly HOPE it is, since I just started wellbutrin with nortrip and clonazepam....

Cheers,
Bob
