I've seen a number of people mention adderall as an additional med, to address side effects from antidepressants.
I'm just wondering for which side effects it is being prescribed? Fatigue/energy? Anorgasmia? Concentration?
Thanks,
michael

michael, ADDerall is for ADD-H and many folks w/ADD-H also have depression. ADDerall is a stimulant. Occassionally someone with only depression can benefit from a stimulant. Many doctors don't like prescribing Adderal because it is addictive and can be abused and sold on the street.

So the symptom that adderall attempts to address is fatigue... is that accurate?

No michael, adderall addresses impulse control problems, attention difficulties and also helps to even out a person's energy. Before taking adderall, I had only 2 speeds - no speed and full speed.
It could be used to treat fatigue; but most doctors would be very hesitant to do this because of the reasons i stated in the past posting.
This is the end of the thread.
