Went well, Noa. Thanks. Interesting company. Big golf company. I'll be doing inbound phone sales and it is very busy and open. Could be a really good job for me right now. My brain will be fried for a few weeks but I can go hit golf balls on my lunch hour! So far, so good!
So darned nice of you to keep up with me, and others. I can learn from you, Noa. You're good people.Phil

> PhilPhil - not too shabby. A cool company AND you get to hit golfballs at lunch. Perfect way to cope with an OTJ stress. (I don't know anything about golf.) What happened with the "peepee" test? Did you have to take one?
Much luck in the coming days.

Yeah! Another brave day Phil :-) And golf on your lunch break, wow, that's a little unique I'd have to say. Hope the fried brain helps you sleep, and the golf helps you smile! Take care and keep us updated :-)

No drug test, thank God. I was going to say something else but my brain is still fried. Do a lot of traing on their computer system today. They have just switched over to a new system. It can be chaotic but what job isn't these days.

Hey, Phil. You sound good.
I was thinking about what it might be like to be in sales while struggling with depression. Let me start by saying that I cannot sell anything to save my life, depressed or not.
But when I think of what goes into doing that work (this, of course, is my totally uneducated perception), I think of the following things: optimism, social confidence, belief in yourself and belief in the product or service you are promoting, ability to take interest in your client (or at least to fake it really well), energy, and initiative. I guess in some companies, there is also the added thing of having the energy and drive to engage in competition.
So, I guess I am saying I admire you greatly. To do all of this, while struggling with depression, requires a lot of energy, I would think. Plus, being in a new job, you are taking on the challenge of learning a lot, the new computer system being a good example.
I salute you, Phil of Babbleland!

Noa and Brenda, That's really nice of y'all to say. It has been something else. Our class starts on the phones tomorrow! I feel like I'm being thrown in a snake pit but that's usually the best way to learn.
I've come home so exhausted the past two days that I could hardly move.
Feel really slow on the learning curve and have been messin w/ the meds to try to keep up.
I guess I'm just well enough to deal with it and I've been in sales a long time. Nothing I do is hard sell or I wouldn't do it. I won't work for a company that is unethical. That would really be depressing.
We all do what we have to do and I can only take one minute at a time sometimes.
I hope this post makes sense.Phil
