thanks, Cam and Janet.
I am at the liberty of the public library and my computer at work (it has been too busy to post from there) because my internet services at home is down.
Everything is stable, if not really "OK". I feel depressed, but I am functioning at least passably.
Actually, the weekend was very busy, as my parents were in town and my brother received an award. I actually had to get dressed up, stockings, gown and uncomfortable shoes and all. I was dressed up to party, even if I didn't feel like much of a party girl inside. Still, I was able to come out of my miserable self enough to feel proud of my brother and feel happy for him and for my parents, who were about as happy as they could be. My brother deserved this award and he is always a very unassuming, un-award-seeking kind of person. He was honored for what he is--a hard working, behind the scenes, person who gave a lot of effort and time to help his community. I'm two for two, by the way, brothers-wise that is. Last year, my other brother was honored by his community for being a good samaritan in a difficult situation. I guess I am lucky, huh, even if it is often hard for me to recognize what is good in my life.

You sound just like your brothers! Except, of course, because of your condition you have to do it anonymously on a depression bulletin board. It's kind of funny in a kind of ironic way, that is if you're in a cheerful mood when you think about it.

and I used to think you were so smart, Janice

And her award can be a free year of internet access. I'll collect the donations ... Noa: you get DSL or cable modem hook-ups in your neighborhood? I think you need an upgrade as well as an award!
=^)

If you are going to give me DSL hook up to the internet, you have to throw in a new computer, because mine is slow (100mh) and has a poky modem, too (14000). Oh, maybe the modem doesn't matter with dsl. Thanks for the thought.

100 MHz could still handle broadband -- it's the pipes that count, and since DSL hookups include hardware you could kiss that pokey modem goodbye.
(gettin' mine asap ... Bell Atlantic is only three months late, at least, on its progress in my neighborhood)
