Actually, there's no party, and I'm not upset, but tomorrow is my birthday, so here's a little ramble. Feel free to ignore it...
I just have the weirdest feeling of *non*feeling about my b-day, this year. Usually, there's either anticipation or dread as it approaches(more dread as I get closer to fourty!). But, this year, I don't know, it's not really apathy. It's like something unimportant that I forgot about, like, "oh right...it's my birthday this week...boy... January and February went fast this year...".
Okay, that's all, I guess I just needed to attempt some self expression. Thanx ya'll! CarolAnn

"Happy Birthday to you
and many to be
for friends that are true
as you are to we..."Well, kinda changed it a bit to make it fit - hey still doing some rhyming stuff there!
Happiest of birthdays CarolAnn - hope you have a terrific day!
Deb.

Hey, Carol Ann, I honor you on your birthday. Be happy, be sad, be blase, be whatever you want, but don't be a slave to the tyrrany of birthday "shoulds".

Pretend we went back to the restaurant where we would have taken Phil out for a celebratory dinner when he got his new job.

i'll bring the balloons!noa is right, there are way too many shoulds attatched to birthdays (and all holidays). all those idealistic shoulds are pretty exhausting. the only thing you SHOULD do is listen to your heart and accept your feelings.
and i certainly wish you a happy birthday full of things good for you---i'll be sending colorful and peaceful thoughts your way!lots of birthday goodness,
juniper
