Hi. I don't think I have depression. I guess I would know it if I did. I am pretty happy,I sing, dance, have hopes for the future. I enjoy my family,my job, crafts and traveling.
But. Aha! I feel like (oh boy,how to describe this) when there is a sudden noise around me,(and it doesn't have to be loud)that it gives me an electric shock.
I have been sitting on the sofa and can feel my heart beat through a sort of electrical charge...bzzzt. bzzzt. bzzzt.
This sounds weird and it is for me. At times this shock feeling actually hurts! There will be times when I dread any noise at home.
Too weird to tell a doctor?Someone should know something!

Eileen,
It sure doesn't sound like depression to me. I'm not sure it sounds too much like anxiety either - though, I guess it must be making you pretty anxious! It sounds to me as though you could be experiencing some form of panic disorder. If I were you, I would definitely pay a visit to the Doctor - nothing is too weird to get advice on if it's getting in the way of you living your life (if only in a small way)!
I hope you manage to get to the bottom of it.
Caroline
