I have been taking Effexor for almost a week now. I feel more alert than ever and more in control of emotional distress too. I have noticed that orgasm is not as easy...not even if I am doing it:) I am only taking 37.x mg now and scared to increase...I took Paxil before...LOVED IT except I could not climax, so, I switched...Any advise??? I have also taken Wellbutrin and the effect is not worth it, compared to how great I felt (minus the joy of sex) with Paxil.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Heather

Hey there... I was on Effexor for awhile and had the same problem, didn't matter who was at the controls! It went away after about two months, just hang in there and hope you don't go insane until then! :o)

Don't be overstressed about it...I'm on Effexor XR, 75 mg/day, and for the first month and a half or so, orgasms were close to impossible for me, no matter the circumstances or person behind the wheel. I'm happy to report that my usual libido is backa nd kicking and that climaxing comes as easily as it did before I started taking the drug. (Sorry about that pun...had to do it though ;)
