If I weren't so desperate for help and solace,I might be just a bit embarrassed to keep posting away with one symptom right after the other;however,I am going to ask for any info y'all may have since I can't get it from my physician. I am presently on Celexa 40mg daily which was increased from 30mg on April 5. About 10 days ago I began to experience tinnitus which was subdued at first but is now accelerating in loudness. Could it be due to the increase in the dosage of Celexa? I did suffer from tinnitus over 2 years ago while on a high dose of Prozac...at least I am almost positive that it was due to the Prozac. My doctor felt that I was wrong about this YET as I have been reading and reading on this website and going through these archives,I find that there have been posts about "med induced tinnitus" and this perhaps proves that I am correct about the Celexa being the culprit. I am cutting the Celexa down to 20mg tonight;and as I await my physician's decision as to how and what to treat my depression/anxiety with,I would sincerely appreciate any/all input. Thank you...

Hi Judith,
One of the therapists that
treated me at the hospital suffers from depression.
She did a trial of Celexa but had to stop because
of tinnitus.

Judith,
I've had tinnitus for as long as I can remember, but I have wondered since starting celexa if it's gotten worse. I notice it every night as I'm trying to fall asleep, but am used to ignoring the noise when it happens during the day.
This is the end of the thread.
