JohnL,
I have been working on a an egroups links site for Remeron (http://www.egroups.com/links/psycho-babble-tips/Remeron_000963366608). It isn't done yet -- I haven't finished my web searches and I still need to search the PB archives from June 98 through March 99.
You have a vast knowledge of Remeron and your posts about Remeron have helped me and others quite a lot. I would welcome your input or suggestions for additions/deletions. Emailing me directly is fine, or post here.
Thanks very much.

Very interesting project you're doing. Your efforts will probably turn out to be very helpful to a lot of people. There will be some people out there who will experience brand new lives as a result of what you've done. Very cool. We'll never know who they are or where they are, but your work will touch the lives of others. With all the research you are doing I doubt there is anything I could add that you don't already know. If there is something specific though about Remeron that you would like comments on--something you can't find in your research anywhere--please let me know. I'll give it a shot.

JohnL,
Thanks. If there are web sites or articles you know about that you think might be useful, let me know.
I know I'll probably end up finding only a fraction of them...

I don't think I could suggest any that you aren't already aware of. What I've done in the past is just do a search on Remeron and go explore everything that comes up. And then I go to a different search engine and do it again. A lot of the same stuff comes up, but also different stuff. Some search engines have stuff others don't. For example I might find different informational pieces of whatever topic at GoTo, Excite, Alta Vista, etc. Alta Vista in particular seems to have more abstract hard to find stuff that isn't found on the other search engines. I searched high and low for information on Adrafinil and could find hardly anything until I tried Alta Vista.Ivan Goldberg's Depression Central is a good place to scout around too. But my favorite place of all is Dr Bob's Tips section.
I've spent the most time though at mentalhealth.com. There you can go to the research section and read abstracts of just about anything that's ever been put into literature concerning any medication or disorder. Some medications aren't listed though. What I discovered is that I can erase whatever medication is already in the search box, type in the one I want, and bingo. Search can be refined more specific by using AND or OR. For example, remeron AND sexual, remeron OR mirtazapine, etc. When I was having so much trouble with anhedonia, I went to mentalhealth.com research section and typed anhedonia in the search box. I discovered there were clues and links between anhedonia and norepinephrine and/or dopamine. Abstracts on tricyclics, stimulants, and antipsychotics kept coming up. Thus my journey away from the usual SSRIs began.
I get the feeling I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Anyway, cool project and best wishes to you!

This is what makes Psycho-babble so great---intelligent, caring people who will take the time and effort to help eachother sort through all the info and personal experience to find what that whcih can help them. I especially appreciated the Alta Vista and Mental health.com tips. Thanks,
