Paxil, klonopin, trazodone?

Posted by Bkitts on July 27, 2000, at 10:05:09

I take 10 to 20mg of paxil in the morning, .5mg klonopin twice a day for nerve pain, and 50mg of trazodone for insomnia each night for 4 years now... Pdoc's never tell you everything so I'm asking you guys. Is this much medicine combined anything to be concerned about? Is the 20mg of paxil and 50mg trazodone anything to worry about as far as serotonin syndrome? Or is that only a concern with higher doses of each? I wish I could find a med that would cover all 3 apsects without taking 3... I'm only taking meds becuase of chronic pain (IBS, chronic prostatis) which led to severe depression... Klonopin has been the most effective for the pain... Any comments or suggestions are very appreciated...

I took celexa, klonopin and trazodone together and they were ok for me but that's me. I see no danger in it but I'm no expert. My advice is, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" If it works for you, enjoy it.Try directing your question TO CAMW, might get a more direct answer.
Good luck
