My answer wasn't enough? Check above, under your first post.

Meanwhile, treatment with pergolide or cyproheptadine may help him.

Whatever the outcome, this is NOT the right place to ask about this. There are one or two horsemen here, but this is a forum for discussions of psychiatric medications -- for HUMANS.

good luck.

My horse has been a little depressed lately...

Naw, that wouldn't work, she can't type, and she's too lazy to program the voice recognition software...

I think I put one animal related thyroid link in the thyroid and depression folder--there are a lot of sites on the internet with veterinary thyroid info.

There is probably a good animal psychiatry site too.

I like it! Don't send them away without giving us time to play!

Noa, there are some great sites for vet. info out there, and even some great - and easy to find - sites specific to what she's asking about. Horseman's Advisor's vet. site has vets answering questions as well as other posters offering their experience. Some parts of AcmePet, Equinet, Equisense, etc. There are a least a gazillion places to find info on Cushings in horses (and dogs and humans) on the web. I counted.
