Help. I am trying to wean off of Effexor XR. I am down to 37.5 mg and my entire body aches. I am totally nauseated and utterly exhausted. Plus, I am anxious and jittery and have a horrible feeling of fear and foreboding. HOW LONG DOES THIS LAST? I am being put on Serzone, so I am taking the two drugs together right now. Apparently, the Serzone was supposed to help me get through the withdrawal, but it doesn't seem to be working in this respect. Has anyone out there had these same kinds of withdrawal symptoms?

It's difficult to tell if the symptoms are from the effexor withdrawal, or the Serzone.
I did the same thing with switching from Effexor to Celexa.
I had headaches and "sparks" in my head. I took Tylenol and that helped a lot.good luck
