When last I wrote, I had gone to see a new p-doc, and after a couple of visits he added .5 mg Risperdal to my cocktail.
Cocktail now is Effexor XR 300 mg, Wellbutrin SR 300 mg, Risperdal .5 mg, and Klonopin for sleep 1 mg.
I've noticed since the Risperdal shaking hands, balance problem (I hate to say off-balance because too many people would agree...8-)...) and that's about all for new side effects. I always seem to have dry mouth.
There has been a subtle shift in my energy level, and mood also. The energy has not been a big boost, but more like if I go to the kitchen to get something I may tidy up some--which has always seemed an insurmountable and overwhelming idea in the past. I used to try to get in and out as quickly as possible...
My mood is-- not crying as much (had been having crying jags like crazy), and a lightening of the 80-pound dark cloud that I carry with me wherever I go. It actually has sort of a physical component to it. I don't feel "happy" and I still cry, but I feel noticeably better some of the time and I don't cry as much.
I think this is week 4 for Risperdal. It is a definite improvement (every little bit counts!). I am hoping and praying it will not poop out. I think I like the not feeling so overwhelmed best, and finding myself doing things around the house that were not planned nor accompanied by an hour of talking myself into it.
I'll keep ya'll "posted."

Dear Shar,
> When last I wrote, I had gone to see a new p-doc, and after a couple of visits he added .5 mg Risperdal to my cocktail.
I would consider increasing the dosage of Risperdal to 1.0mg at some point. I found that I needed a minimum of 1.0mg to feel any improvement. I felt even more improvement at 1.5mg and 2.0mg. Unfortunately, the improvement proved inadequate despite being on it for several months, and some unusual cognitive side effects forced me to stop taking it.
Get well.

Maybe you should add some light or maybe heavy exericise (maybe youre doing that already) and you will be "home Free" Anyhow keep doing what your doing and report Back (thats an order LOL)

I'm sure I "should" add some exercise because I don't do it very regularly, but gettin' me out the door is another thing altogether...8-)Thanks for your support--
