Does anybody know if/when reboxetine (Vestra) is going to be approved in the US? I know it's available from outside the US but my conservative pdoc won't even consider that route.

I do not know the status of Reboxetine approval in the USA. It is easily available from international mailorder pharmacies. I have to admit though, a lot of people here have already tried it and I can't think of a single success story. I don't think you are missing out on anything.

I've been on just about everything. I've had the best partial response to Parnate (MAOI), and it seems like I read that reboxetine either is or is related to MAOIs. That's why I'm interested in trying it.

Pharmacia has informed that the additional clinical trials on Vestra have been completed, and that the additional clinical trial info was submitted to the FDA in December 2000, and now Pharmacia is awaiting a response from the FDA.
