hi all -
i am new to the group. i am taking 75 mg of effexor - i also take xanax when needed for panic attacks. today i am feeling very strange - just "off." my head feels spinny, the way it does when you forget a dose, i feel a little disoriented, i have slight chest pains and my left arm aches. anyone experience anything like this or have an idea what is causing it?
thanks so much -
r.

Are you taking regular Effexor or Effexor XR?

I was taking regular Effexor - two 37.5 tablets at night - then my doc called in a new script and I am pretty sure it is the Effexor XR. Does it make a difference?

Regular Effexor must be taken 3 times a day, whereas Effexor XR can be taken all at bedtime (or all at breakfast).

I checked last night - I am on Effexor XR. Yesterday my head got so light so quickly I think I would have fallen if I hadn't been sitting down. Weird...
