I have been taking Remeron, Serzone and Neurontin for about 18 months now. I started with Remeron 2 1/2 yrs ago, then my psychiatrist added Serzone after about 1 yr, because I was still depressed. I still had obsessive thinking, so I saw a new psych whose speciality was psychopharmaceuticals. He added Neurontin and I was much better. My question is, who has been on this particular combination/cocktail and has come off them all (an eventuality I'm now contemplating). Also, generally, what are anyone's findings with this combo. Thanks CDT

I think it may likely be detrimental for you to quit medication. According to a couple studies done on outpatients who stopped antidepressants after their depression was in remission: After 1 depressive episode in a lifetime, your chance of relapse is 50%. 2 episodes yield an 80% relapse rate, and 3 episodes mean you will definitely relapse.
