Hi, My problem is that even though I'm taking my Celexa and working a 12 step program I am not feeling very well. I am obsessing to use. Do you think therapy would help and if so what kind? I'm new to this and would really appreciate some feedback. I just feel like giving up on even trying .Thanks Sandhi

Hi sandhi,
Have you been in recovery very long? You might ask others in your group if they can recommend a good talk therapist who is familiar with recovery issues or is working the program themselves.
Do you have a sponser?
Are you seeing a psychiatrist? Maybe tweaking you meds could help.ODAAT,
Phil

I think some ReVia would help you not only with your alcoholism but with your depression as well. http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Aug-antidep-with-naltrex.html
I took a lot of it to augment my antidepressant, yet I had no side-effects.

James here....
If you are still having these feelings of hopelessness then the meds are not working well
enough. Go back to the doc and tell him/her this.James
