Just started taking a combination of effexor XR/geodon and I dont think that there is possibly anywhere else on the net that would be better to pose these questions as I see there are a lot of veterans and informed people here.
1. effexor + alcohol, ive searched and found a few posts... i take effexor in the morning at about 10... Does this mean that at X at night I cant drink? I dont plan on drinking *when* taking effexor, but none of the warnings are that clear on all of this...
2. effexor side effects... i noticed *today* really, that when im calm i dont notice it as much, but if i have a problem, or i start to get upset, i get a rush of side effects at once... of course my blood is probably pumping more and getting it through my system, but has anyone experienced this? Im on day 4 on 37.5's (im a pretty thin person so i started small)... and after a bit of a panic today I'm feeling pretty spaced out now... how long should I expect this to last, i dont want to start on 75s when im still this spacey.

I found out the hard way about drinking on Effexor...I got drunk REALLY fast, and REALLY drunk. So basically, be careful and pay close attention. For me, it kicked in fast and HARD, but faded out almost as fast.sl

I drink on effexor. didnot change my drinking habit (maybe 20 units week, but sometimes anight)
no problems 4 me. does get you more pissed though, I didnt really consider that a side effect. HEHE
