After a couple of months off of Effexor, I'm going back on the med. I'm really scared because the effexor withdrawal was so terrible, but none of the other meds work for me. I guess I'll cross the withdrawal bridge when I come to it :(
Really I stopped the effexor for a dumb reason: my ex girlfriend told me that I wasn't being very good in bed and she was thinking that I'm gay. Yes effexor reduces my sex drive because in ruins the climax, but that really seems totally trivial right now. I don't care if I ever have sex again... just want to not feel like i'm dying. I finally got up the courage to dump that girl and I hope I don't answer the phone if she ever calls again.
Taking these pills indefinitely isn't really that bad of a prospect.

Thats great
She doesn't deserve you!
I'm going to be starting Effexor in a couple of days after I finish tapering off of celexa. I keep reading about the sexual side effects but I think my boyfriend will understand he knows I need the meds and is supportive he's a sweety :)
good luck with your next relationship, I'm sure you'll find someone who cares about you and with whom you will have more fun with outside of the bedroom, I think thats more important!cya

Andy, if you read around the board (go back a few weeks in the archive at the top) there's a few discussions about sexual side-effects of meds, and there's some suggestions for meds to add on that are supposed to help or reverse them. HTH.
This is the end of the thread.
