I usually don't have a problem with acid reflux, but whenever my nerves get bad and I have to take an AD, I get reflux. I am currently on Paxil (with moderate reflux), but it isen't working anymore. The old ADs are out because of there anticholineric side effects (makes reflux worse). What about Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, or Effexor? Does any body have any experience in this area? Tried Remeron, but didn't work for me. I appreciate any comments.

I get reflux on all of the Sri's. Prozac was worst for nocturnal reflux (probably because of the long half-life). Celexa seemed worse for midday reflux (following lunch). Zoloft didn't seem to bad for that. Effexor I really can't remember having much reflux come to think of it, a LOT of nausea though.

I started having reflux on Effexor XR only. It got so bad that I got a chronic cough until my doctor put me on Zantac. Poof! heartburn gone.
