I'm taking Effexor (300 mg,) plus reboxetine: feeling better but i sweat profusely plus i'm always fatigued.
I started Effexor the last week of July of the current year: i guess the side effects are not transient otherwise they'd be gone by now. Does anybody know about other drugs or vitamin/herbal supplementsthat could reduce these unpleasant side effects?

When did you start on Reboxetine? Maybe it needs more time to kick in or you need a larger dose of it to counteract your tiredness. Otherwise, Wellbutrin might be an option to add to Effexor to counteract the tiredness.
If you would like to try an herb first, I take Ginkgo Biloba 120 mg twice a day (240 total). That's the amount recommended to take with antidepressants to counteract sex related side effects but it might also give more energy. If you have any type of bleeding problem, check with your doctor first since Ginkgo can act as an anticoagulant.

What dosage of effexor are you on and when do you take it ( eg twice a day?) My dosage had been increased and then I decreased it, and found that the sweating decreased. The sweating also has decreased over time, meanwhile dress in layers and drink lots of water.
Fatigue has been an ongoing problem with me, which the effexor hasn't helped but it does help me with being able to get up (I think.) So here I can't offer you any help.
BEST WISHES

I started to add one tablet of reboxetione the firs week of September, i added half a tablet in October, I am now taking two tablets (8 mg) since last Sunday. I'd like to add one more tablet cause i think reboxetine it's helping but i have to call my pdoc first. Wellbutrin has just been licensed in my country but not as an antidepressant: it's being used for people who quit smoking (pretty odd, isn'it?).

I'm taking 300 mg:, 150 mg. in the morning and 150 mg. at night. I'll talk to my pdoc about the increasing/decreasing trick. Thanks:

I like Reboxetine and i don't want to drop it, if i can add Wellbutrin to my current cocktail, i'll give it a try. II don't think it's going to be easy though, since Wellbutrin has just been licensed in my country : moreover has not been considered an anti-depressant officially, but a drug designed to counteract smoking addiction: (it's quite odd, i know).

My experience of trying ginko biloba while taking Effexor and other meds was to experience such an extreme urgency for urination that I had to stop 6 times in a two-hour drive and barely made it to a decent location each time. Since I need to drink a lot of water with Effexor, I'm not going to do that again!

Is your pdoc willing to consider stimulants? I was on effexor and it worked well, but the side effects eventually drove me off of it (weight gain, sluggishness and sexual dysfunction). In retrospect, I wish my pdoc had just added some Adderall to the mix. I think it would have taken care of the side effects and I could have stayed on a med that was otherwise working. Hope this helps.
