Has anyone else found that they smoke more on stimulants? The day I stopped ritalin, I was able to stop smoking cold turkey. have even had a acouple of puffs since then and didn't start back.
I want to go back on Adderall but am afraid I will start smoking again. any advice, similar experiences?

Actually I was told by my doctor that they give wellbutrin to people that want to quit smoking because it gives you more energy. Don't be afraid you need to take care of yourself - what ever it takes.

Wellbrutin is available int he UK as Zyban - get this - its only "listed" for use as an aid to giving up smoking, not for MH problems!!!!!

I tried wellbutrin. I raged so uncontrollably that I made gashes in my walls and threatened to kill my brother. Let's just say that it didn't work out....

I just started a stimulant a few days ago & so far no urges to smoke. (I've been an on&off smoker for a long time.) But the last time I started wellbutrin (first time on SR) I started smoking again for a few months. For the first few weeks I needed cigarettes because I was terribly jittery and then I was a smoker again. I did quit with the patch a few months later. Is your craving like that? Is nicotine for you like they said in that tv ad for coffee -- it picks you up and calms you down?
