Well I can feel myself slowly (too fast for me)
becoming depressed. I am bipolar on Neurontin, Klonopin, and ritalin for adhd. Been ok for three
years and now I just feel crappy. I dont want to talk to anyone or look at anyone. My job kinda reequires a lot of interpersonal contact and its
draining what little strength for c9onversation that I have. Everybody pisssing me off with their twisted mind games. i dont want to play.. Thinking too much about death and dying.
Dont even want to talk to my p-doc about this exactly. What drug next compadres?
Tell me my fellow bp'ers what would want to take in my situation?

Have you thought about trying Zyprexa? The only reason I suggest this is that it is the only drug that seems to be helping me at the moment, more for anxiety and suicidal ruminations though. I'm just about managing to cling on to my job (with fingernails) with the Zyprexa
If it wastn't for this one I don't think I'd be working.

I really wish I could help you but I just am not familiar enough with what meds are best with bipolar disorders. I did change the subject thread though, hoping other BP folks would see it & read yours & respond to it.
To be seriously, I think stupid mind games affect everyone. I can't believe how many people play them instead of being upfront with others. You're not alone in being sick of it. Wish I could offer more encouragement.

if you are taking neurontin for B/P it has some advantages and then does not.
if you talk to any pdoc they will all say start with the 3 most trusted. lithium is the #1 mood stabilizer still to this day. it just works tremendously. plus it really has anti-depressive qualities. im sure depakote is prescribed more because its a bit safer, plus theres the new depakote er. then tegretol has a new form and has always been in there with the big 3.
i think to true bi-polars the anticonvulsants are prescribed to much because of their safety issues.
im bi-polar type 2 and really have had success with all of them. people will just try topamax before lithuim because they dont want to gain weight. a little weight gain goes along way when you are feeling healthy and stable. the same goes with A/D's. people will not take alot of them because of sexual side effects but they would actually feel much better taking them. RIGHT NOW IN THIS ERA we cannot have our cake and eat it too. in 2 days im going on Nardil and will not have any sex life most likely. but im willing to pay that price to not feel so hopeless. its not such a big deal. im sorry if i got off the subject. the big 3 almost always work but you may have been on them before.
good luck

Hi...
Has anybody experience or knowledge about tearfullnes when using Efexor. I`m not depressed but when talking about sad things or others subject with others, I can suddenly have this tearfullne. It is very hard to controll.
When I was on ssri, I didn´t have this reaction, despite Efexor was more effective for depression, than ssri.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be very appreciated.
Sincerely
Petters.
