Geno,
You have to ask your doctor how to titrate it. I personally found it sedating at 50 mg, but a 100 mg I became a maniac & had major insomnia, but your results could be totally different. But only about 1-2% of people have a drug induced manic "switch" from Zoloft or Prozac- Zoloft made me feel like I had just drank 2 Beers 24 hours a day which was great for both social phobia & depression but eventually, after about 3 months at 100 mg (because of the drug induced mania) it made me feel like I was popping amphetamines 24 hours a day. Whatever you do, don't get drunk while you are on Zoloft therapy- you will do the dumbest things in the world and not remember them especially since you are already drunk after 2 beers while taking Zoloft.

Zoloft takes 3-4 weeks before you make a trip to "happyville" at doses of 75-100mg or higher. I would guess that your doctor will raise the Zoloft by 25 mg per month, which is good if you are anxiety prone- that way your body gets used to the drug & then you have less side effects.

Sorry to butt into your conversation, but I just got off of the Zoloft and wanted to warn you about the "sexual side effects". Hope you want the anti anxiety effect more than you want sex. Actually, you will not care if you have sex or not after you start the zoloft. Have your significant other start zoloft too and you can be HAPPY TOGETHER. Good Luck!

3 beers, i forgot to ask you this. Before you meds and when u were using alchol, did you feel you had to be buzzing to talk to anyone. Did the buzz make you feel more calm creative, happy, loving kinda thing.

Also, yes i dont wanna go to high, because you posted and i found out that zoloft at high doses as dopamine uptake properties. From ghb use, your dopamine is already excess. so by my taking ghb with zoloft, the comdown would be nasty anyway.
I tried welbutrin with ghb. When the ghb wore off, i could literally hear and feel stuff and was a parinoid schizo. I stopped that quickly.

Zoloft dopamine properties are insignificant

I wouldn't worry about having too much dopamine from Zoloft. It only inhibits the reuputake of dopamine in very slight amounts, about as much as paxil inhibits the reuputake of norepinephrine, in other words it is so insignificant it doesn't really matter. It probably lowers dopamine in the long run since it is a potent inhibitor of serotonin reuputake (2nd only to Paxil).

Wellbutrin is much stronger in raising you dopamine & norepinephrine levels so you can't really compare Wellbutrin with Zoloft. They work in totally different ways- Wellbutrin probably has more in common with Ritalin than it does with SSRIS.

The main thing i'd worry about is not the ghb dopamine rebound, but mixing Zoloft with GHB. When I drank while on Zoloft therapy the combination was disastrous- I would be drunk after 2 beers and black out, act like a total idiot, and not remember anything the next day. Since GHB, like alcohol, is a social disinhibitor, you might react in the same way.

Somehow, by cold turkey, narcotics anonymous, or substitution with baclofen, speed, pot, a few beers or whatever you need to cut the GHB stuff out, because its going to make you do something you regret one of these days (especially when your combining it with all these different medications- your going to be out of touch with reality- its called depersonalization which sometimes happens with Zoloft especially when combining it with a bunch of different meds & drugs.)

I never drank and drove ever in my whole life & was always the person who prevented others from drinking & driving, but on Zoloft I got drunk and took a few xanax & the next thing I knew I was being arrested for DUI and ended up in the emergency room because I was acting so strange. I was so messed up I got thrown out of jail! They even did a spinal tap since I was acting so weird they thought I might have a brain infection or something- either that or the emergency room nurses were just trying to punish me for constantly getting out of my bed & taking the IV out of my arm.

3 beers,
if you thing mixing alchol with zoloft is bad, mxing ghb with alchol is deadly. Also i ended up 4 times in the er combing ghb and alchol. Id black out, and was unarousable, doctors hooked me up to every machine possible. Then when i woke up i was in a state of panic. The doctors though i overdosed on alcohol. My blood alchol level was only .4 which was like 2 beers. They asked me what i was on. I told them i mixed alcohol with remeron and xanax. They beleived be. But the next time it happened, they same exact doctor yelled at me, saying your the body builder type, are you on ghb. I told him yes and he flipped out, saying your lucky your alive.
Now my pdoc is afraid to give me anybenzos due to my ghb alcohol addiction. I believe ghb, benzos and alcohol are the 3 most addictive drugs and withdrawls can be life threatening. I know a friend who died if florida, mixing ghb.alchol.xanax. He stopped breathing. Now ghb alone, never really did anyting serious but falling asleep in public. Alcohol along makes me very very depressed. xanax just makes me like BLAAAA duuuuuu. So now my new zoloft.klonopin. remeron combo, i hope to heck i feel somewhat good.

I did a 30 day rehab. I was the only one every to be in there for ghb addiction. Most others were alcohol, mainly heroin. I would say, physcially, heroin is the worst to withdrawl from. Mentally and physically xanax. benzos. GHB well , the anxiety rebound is scarier that he@@@.

Who knows, maybe ill change my screen name to 3 caps!
