I am in the 'detox' phase of coming off Effexor. The negatives of taking where not horrible, but the positives where "just not there". I've spent years playing with everything from massive to micro doses, augmentation, everything..etc. Also, coming off Zyprexa. It seemed to lose any of it's benefits just after two weeks of use, and even with dose increases. Then I ended up with more side-effects, and it was just really stupid for me to continue on that road.
It looks like I am going to try a benzo solo route, maybe with a small bit of notriptyline in it. (the only a.d. that ever, ever was helpful). I'd even be willing say to take a small amount of a tricyclic around bed, then a good solid even benzo dose duting the day. Hmmm..we shall see...

Lucky you...I'm going through the same situation with effexor, but you have all these nice meds to cushion it. I stopped it cold turkey two days ago. The depression and anxiety attacks are unbearable. Since I'm too much of a puss to kill myself through traditional methods, I've been driving recklessly, hoping to smash into a big truck on the highway or something. So I've decided to stay out of the car for a week or so, heh...
