I forgot to address your surprise at being prescribed atypical anti-psychotics first time around. The truth is, I wished it were the first time around. Unfortunately, this is just one of many meds I’ve tried. However, in comparison to some of the lists of meds I’ve seen people reeling off on posts on PsychoBabble, my list is kinda tame. Currently, however, I’m on:
Lamictal 200 mgs
Gabitril 2 mgs
Risperdall .5 mgs
That’s all for BP. I’m also on Adderall 30 mgs, 4 times a day, for ADD, probably with Hyperactivity.
Now that I’m on the subject I think I’ll post a sep one about my Adderall fun.
Returning to the topic at hand, I appreciate your concern at the anti-psychotic scrips. I didn’t tell my mother either, I figured she’d really freak out on this one. “Great, my little boy is psychotic” is all I need to hear during Finals.

Well, what is important is if a medication helps control your symptoms. If an antipsychotic does so, then I say it's great you found a med to help. But, if it just seems to be in a mix and you don't notice or think it is helping, then I would question it's use. Honestly, I am not "anti"
anti-psychotic, but like any med, we just want to make sure it is helping. How are you doing on your cocktail of meds right now, anyhow?
