I am looking for people who may have experienced anxiety attacks like the ones I have experienced. In a nutshell, I started having "Panic Attacks", fast heartrate, feelings of imminent but unrealistig danger, etc. In the seventh grade I started to have "Anxiety Attacks". These I would describe as being awake in a bad dream, feeling disconnected, having a perception change with no drugs or changes made. The first time I had one, I thought someone had put PCP or LSD in something I ate, due to the mental change. These things are more freightening than anything I have ever experienced. I can stop panic attacks fast, the physical symtoms, but this is something you would expect to be in a sceince fiction movie. Can Effexor help? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Is a benzodiazepine (Xanax, Valium, Ativan) necessary, or is it possible for Effexor to effectively treat this?
This is the end of the thread.
