Anyone know if this is safe? I am taking Wellbut. but I think I may need something else and I don't feel like going back to effexor, I'm still dizzy from getting off it. Help?

In reply to Wellbutrin and Sam-e is this possible?, posted by Marie416 on May 3, 2002, at 13:32:29
Marie,
I've taken both before, but I'd talk to my Pdoc about it if I were you. Wellbutrin is not prescribed without risks (I've taken it for years) and I always check before mixing it with anything.
My thoughts are to make sure you've given the WB enough time to know what it can and can't do for you all by itself.
Secondarily, IMO insulin-dependent diabetics should not take SAMe. But again, that is my personal opinion based upon singular personal experience. I happen to believe that SAMe does indeed work for some people, and that were it not for the glucose-lowering effects, it was proving helpful to me.
FWIW,
