I just went back on Lithium 1350mg a day, and have been on Lamictal 200mg a day. I added Klonopin 1mg two days ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by a wave of intense relaxation and mild euphoria. I stopped cycling as much (I cycle a few times a day), and I actually, for the first time ever, felt COMPLETELY not depressed. In fact I felt great. I still do.
Can anyone explain this? I'm sure this will go away as I build a tolerance to the Klonopin. A friend of mine with severe treatment resistant depression had success ONLY once she added TOpAmax to her Lamictal. Could there be a synergy between Topomax's GABA/A activity and Lamictal? I will substitute the Klonopin with Topamax if things stop working as they are.
I have been on Klonopin before, on 2mg actually, and never experienced ANYTHING like this. I actually felt giddy this time!
Any hypothesis's and theories would be great. This could be IT for me!

I'm not a "med-head" when it comes to bipolar, just trying to get to be a bit of one for unipolar, but I wanted to post briefly to say that your news is just great! It's really heartwarming to hear that you are feeling so well on your most recent combination. I am betting that you'll find a way to keep it going! It's wonderful for all of us to hear good news like yours. All the best to you.
