I tried going off seroquel (was on 600 mgs) and couldn't sleep at all, so I tried lowering the dosage to 300 mgs. Is this a normal effect of stopping it? The reason I was trying to go stop is it is making me *blush* constipated horribly!

Hi KL,
Have you tried other ways of helping the constipation? There has been a lot of discussion about this problem on this site. If you have psychosis abruptly stopping an AP can be very risky. Going down to a lower dose might be okay, however. I have never taken Seroquel but from what I have read you are on a fairly high dose. I hope things go well.

I was taking Seroquel (350 mg) for two years and when I stop taking it , It was impossible to me to sleep . I tried to sleep during 1 month ,but I couldnt , so I had to start taking it again 25 mg.
Then I change to Amisulpride and I can sleep very well without the Seroquel.
Hope this helps
