For me the sexual side effects from celexa went away after 3 weeks on 20mg. However 20 mg didn't work like I wanted it to so I am bumping it up to 40mg. I'd like to hear other people experiences with celexa and sexual functioning. Was it the best ssri in terms of the least amount of sexual dysfunction? What doses were you on?

I've tried them all. Only one did not bother my sex life. That is Prozac. What makes this topic so difficult is that we all have different reactions. It is often futile to predict what any drug will do to you based on what it did to someone else. For me, Celexa shut my sexual desire off and made my important parts numb. Same with all the other SSRIs and Effexor. But Prozac is fine. No probs. Go figure. Other people have said Prozac was bad for their sex life. So you never know. Hopefully Celexa will work out for you. But if it doesn't, there is always something else that will.
