Hello, I'd like to discuss the side effects of Strattera, especially the sexual side effects. Any comments on its sexual or other side effects?
I'm currently on desipramine, and it's my main antidepressant. It works better than most antidepressants I've tried, and I've tried most of them. It acts on noradrenaline(norepinephrine) mostly, but has a whole host of side effects like vision problems, constipation, and sexual dysfunction. I have little libido on it and I feel kind of "neutral" down there. I am wondering if Strattera can have the same or better antidepressant effect, while not causing as much of the side effects. It would be nice to have a sex life and be laxative free at last.
I know Strattera is new, but is there any picture forming about Strattera's sexual side effects?

Strattera shouldn't have any sexual side effects, especially for women. I know that reboxetine, which works in the same way as strattera and is very similar, was PRO-sexual for me...made me quite horny!

" In adults, the most common side effects were problems sleeping, dry mouth, decreased appetite, upset stomach, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, problems urinating, and sexual side effects."

Clinical trials are one thing, personal experiences are another thing. Let's hear what people have to say about this subject who have taken or are taking Strattera!
Or, what people think about the subject in general, even if they haven't taken Strattera.
