Hey, I'm on Effexor-XR too. Only you, though, can weigh the benefits and the good vs the bad. I have gained a lot of weight because I have been on and tried many of these psych meds. I know someone who takes Wellbutrin and he gained weight on that. But, how about Prozac?? I have heard only weight loss success on it. A lot of folks.
Keep me posted, hope this helped-just wish it could have been a little more positive.

I've been on Effexor XR for several months and at first lost about 5 lbs. When I tried Wellbutrin, I was constantly hungry and a bit nervous. That's just my experience. Paxil made me lose weight at first, too, but it came back.
