what dose is needed for the dep to stabilize the lex and avoid mania?
i am assuming it is less than you would need if the depakote were your only med, but i started the dep in order to stabize the lex, which on day 4 may be working for me
i am currently taking 1000mg of depakote but might cut back if it is the lexapro that is really helping me..........i am on 5mg lex for the last 4 days
i still drink alcohol

Hi, I'm assuming also that you may need less Depakote. When you take your Lexapro? My doctor decided to start me on it today and I take my first dose ASAP. I'm not sure when to take it-I was planning tonight. How did you feel on it the first day or 2? I was told it worked fast and had a very low profile of side effects, what do you think? I, like you, am also on a mood stabilizer-Lamictal-I'm BPII with very little, if any, mania. Good luck.
