Hi
just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. on 200mg of lamictal daily i was very stable and calm- which was such a new and wonderful feeling. infact i was leveled in the worst of situations. however my concentration was still poor so work was still difficult. my dose was increased to 300mg (slowly). at this new dose i am agitated, with mixed episodes etc. people around me have noticed this drastic change too. i had really forgotten what this awful feeling was like. so upset it is back. could dose increase be the cause.
if anyone has any comments, this would really help me
thank you so much

I'm dxed with bp1 and got hypomanic on 200mg of lamictal/day. Is that your diagnosis? If so, you may be experiencing a mixed episode. take care, judy

delna,
I HAD to stop Lamictal when I began having TERRIBLE anger feelings on it...it wasn't hypomania it was terrible Lamictal-induced anger! (The ssri's also cause that problem for me, some of them more so than other ones). I'd try lowering the dose to see if it's just dose-related. IF you STILL get the same feeling on the lowered dose then, IF it were ME, I'd try to find a different med.

Yeah, cut back back and see if the symptoms go away.
This is the end of the thread.
