I have anxiety can anyone tell me what the best BP med would be for calming effects?
I was on a calcium channel blocker but that didn't work. I have Hypertension and bipolarII.Thanks,

Well, if you're looking for a BP med that has extra effects (besides BP lowering), beta-blockers are known to reduce anxiety. But for many, they also come with too high a side-effect cost, as in, sometimes depression and sexual dysfunction.
But they do reduce anxiety by lowering heart rate; in fact, performers sometimes use them to counter stage fright, but they only take them when on stage, not all the time.
