I have been on remeron and zyprexa for 3 months now and i have gained 40 LBS in weight. In one way the tablets have taken away the depression but my self esteem is pretty low as i feel like a walking blob and cannot fit into my clothes anymore. I want to come off both zyprexa and remeron but am unsure of the best way to do this. I feel tonnes better and want the weight to shift now so that I can lead a normal life again. Hope to hear some advice soon... Stella :)

sounds kind of risky, depending on the situation, it might be wiser to switch meds.....how about zyprexa and parnate? i loved that combination

hi, I think it may be wisest not to come off both at the same time. I went off zyprexa a few months ago because of the weight gain. I had been taking 2.5mg p/day for several months. I just stopped cold & cant say I had any withdrawal effects other than it being a bit harder to get to sleep at night.
