I began taking dexadrine 5mg BID a week ago. No real increases in attention have occured yet. However, my mood seems a little 'chipper' and strangely similar to an awesome response to Zoloft some ten years ago (it pooped on me and never worked again)
Anyways, I read in Hallowell's 'driven to distraction', that sometimes an indicator of ADD is that when ADD people try cocaine they find it 'focuses' them more and makes them feel 'normal' as opposed to a regular person who just feels stoned. I am wondering if there is anything I should be looking for in my dexedrine response that will confirm my ADD diagnosis as I am extremely distrustfull of psychiatrists ability to understand me ( I dont explain my thoughts and feelings very well (or so I dont think so))Thanks to all :-)

The average daily dose range in the PDR is 5-60 mg.
Keep this in mind, that your response may be due to the dose of the drug, not just the drug itself.
