Any good ways to treat them? I'm especially interested in natural methods (besides Echinacea, Vitamin C and Zinc).
Is chicken soup good or bad? Yeast extract, MSG, and of course broken-down chicken proteins are all in there.
I'll be upset if the soup isn't kosher. It's always been my #1 remedy.
Thanks.

> Thanks.Don't over think it...you won't react to yeast extract, or chicken protein....I personally like echinacea & goldenseal at the first symptoms of a cold...while I was on Nardil (and later Parnate) I used the typical nasal sprays (flonase, afrin, etc) with NO problems...even the vicks inhaler (which contains a mild amphetamine) was fine...pseudofed was fine, etc....
I would be cautious about the taking the internal medications (ephedra, or anything containing dextromethorphan-- Robotussin, etc) although I never had a problem with either. Benedryl is safe, as are the non sedating antihistamines (caution with allegra-D--contains ephedra)...
You will find that it is difficult to maintain the strict MAOI diet/med restrictions...and probably "experiment" with certain foods, etc...and you will certainly find that most of the food/medications can be taken safely while on a MAOI...(3 years on Nardil and a few months on Parnate, NO hypertensive episodes)
