High, the psychiatrist wanted to give nardil a try because of the nature of my symptoms, but here's the problem.
I go to the doctor on Monday (Tomorrow) but have two midterms on Wednsday and Thursday.
I am being *sustained* with my rTMS device. I am probably starting on a low dose say 30mg and am wondering if I should hold off the start up till after the exams. At 30mg would the start up effects be significant enough to effect the test, 3 days later ?
Thanks for your help

For what it's worth, I would recommend waiting till after your midterms. While that is a relatively small dose, I found Nardil to be sedating at first. I eventually got over this effect even at 120mg, but Nardil can also cause insomnia- which I have never entirelly got used to (interesting paradox, huh?) I don't mean to scare you about Nardil. You may not have the same reaction or to the same degree. And overall it's the best med I have every taken, especially the first year or so. Good luck on you tests.

i'm always happy to hear when someone else is going on Nardil, so that's good news.
i seriously doubt that any significant effects will occur in 3 days on 30mg. If i were to hypothetically quit Nardil and then wanted to get back on, and was in your situation, i would get back on the first chance i got probably, without waiting. But one never really does know how something is going to affect them, so you might want to just wait the few days. i'm almost positive that you wouldn't experience any serious serotonergic downregulation by then, but the anticholinergic and GABA-increasing effects might affect in a somewhat detrimental way for your tests. Probably better to just wait. good luck with your decision. By the way, as stupid as this sounds, i'm a big fan of your posts.
This is the end of the thread.
