Does anyone else feel like a zombie on klonopin - I just started it and made the mistake of taking half of one at work. Do you get used to the tiredness???????

Well, it depends on how much you need to Klonopin ... I assume for anxiety. Yes, it is common to feel sleepy during the day if you take it. But I don't. Every medication affects everyone DIFFERENTLY.
BTW: I am a big fan of Klonpin. It sometimes gets bad rap, but it's unfair. It is a great medication for people who use it correctly.

It took me a week or two to get over mild sleepiness, clumsiness etc. from Klonopin. During that time, I divided the dose throughout the day, which limited the problems. Now I just take the whole dose in the morning and have no side effects whatsoever.
This is pretty typical for Klonopin -- the side effects generally wear off fairly quickly, but the anti-anxiety effects usually remain. It's a very effective med for many people, if you can just get past the initial period.

Hi,
I have been using klonopin for 6 years, and yes, you should get used to it. It is a mild anti-anxiety agent, compared to ativan or xanax, and I have never developed a tolerance either. Your brain gets used to it, just like anything else. But if it persists for more than a month or so I would definitely contact your doctor, to be safe!

i think this drug is great but yes it makes you really sleepy. personally i take it on an sos basis. only when the anxiety/agitation is terrible. then the calm is appreciated.
