As you might guess from my previous posts, I am trying to get off meds that blunt sexual desire since it has gotten very severe and I am afraid it will threaten my marriage. What are experiences with seroquel and lamictal--do they affect sexual area. And is it the seroquel that causes weight gain? Guess I wish I could be off meds completely

Seroquel is pretty infamous for causing weight gain. It probably plays the major role in impairing sexual desire, as well.
Lamictal could negatively affect sexual desire as well, but I personally found its effects much less powerful and pervasive than Seroquel (which I hated and no longer take).
Maybe you could just take the Seroquel on an as-needed basis, since it is relatively fast-acting.
Dealing with a mental illness and medication side-effects is very difficult, and you need the support of your husband. Some kind of couples counseling might help a lot with your communication.
Good luck
