I can't believe I am gaining weight on dexedrine sr. As soon as it starts to ware off I feel like I have eaten all day. Sometimes I will wake up at 2 in the morning and just want to eat. Anyone else have this problem with dexedrine. I also take short acting adderall. Anyone gain weight on adderall?
Thanks for any info

It's the old "diet pill" syndrome. You starve, build up cravings, and end up eating more than you would had you not taken the med.
Like dieting, diet pills seem to work in the short term but ultimately add to the problem. So don't worry about it -- your response is normal!

Thanks for your input. Maybe if I get myself to eat small meals through out the day I can stop some of the cravings.

The cravings could be from a sudden blood-sugar drop when the drug wears off. Eating small meals during the day sounds like a good idea.

I tried this yesterday and it helped quite a bit. I was still really hungry around bed time, so I had an oz of cheese which seemed to take care of my hunger so I could get to sleep. Thanks again for your input. :)
