Went to psyc doc today, I'm off Remeron and she started me on Trazodone. She could not answer me why Remeron made me feel so bad. She was a real bitch about it. I refused to go on another SSRI and she basically said there was no help for me. I'm so anxious I could jump outta my skin and that's with Ativan in my system. Anyone have any suggestions for natural remedies.

I haven't really heard anything about Trazodone being a good antidepressant. It's a pretty good sleep aid. If you've tried SSRIs and Remeron, the other possibilities that come to mind are Effexor and Welbutrin.
If you've tried those I strongly suggest trying a MAOI.
I haven't heard of any natural remedies that work on serious depression, although good food, exercise, and time with friends will do wonders to prevent relapse.
Good Luck

I was only on it 3 weeks and just tapered for 2 days, didn't take it yesterday, was anxious today, but didn't feel like I was on speed. Are you having problems with Remeron.

I won't try Effexor because of all the horror stories I've heard about it. I suffer from bad anxiety and Wellbutrin apparently sends that through the roof, very agitating. Have never tried MAOI'S but may consider it, or may try to fight this thing on my own.

If you can't find something that works, I would eventually give something a try. Effexor is a wonderful med that once worked WONDERS for me in the past. I was on it at two different points and was able to withdraw cold turkey (doc never told me to taper) with no problems. Only felt slightly dizzy the first time I tried it and only on the first day. The second time absolutely no withdrawal. Your mileage may vary though.
Just remeber that you hear a lot of horror stories because people are more likely to post bad stories than good ones. I am sure a lot of people have no problems coming off AD's like Effexor or Lexapro. Either way, best of luck to you and I hope you can find something!
