Hi all,
I recently increased my dosage of effexor xr from 37.5 to 75mg. I really didn't feel that different after the increase. But now, about 10 days later, I'm having dizzy spells and feeling sick to my stomach.
I know these are common effexor side effects, but is it normal for them to appear so long after increasing the dosage? I would have expected to feel them right away. Maybe I'm just coming down with something???
Thanks,
Sarah

10 days isn't that long. My PDoc titrated me up in 2 week cycles, with the highest doseage going three weeks (too long...), but we did get it back down to 75mg and it's stayed there. You may be one of those people that simply needs a lower doseage. My advice:
Take good notes on the effects you're feeling a share them with him/her. That's the only way they'll know what's going on with you and can adjust your doseage or change your medication to suit YOU.
Take care,
TR
