I am getting fed up with this Neurontin, Im pushing the dose WAY up, all its done thus far is aggravate my anxiety!
OK, Im considering Reboxetine...with MAOI their is no risk of 5-HT syndrome, but i do know that, the added noradrenaline activity can cause probs...
That being said I have heard of people on this combo with NO probs....
OK, qstn is- is their anything inherently different about MAOI + TCA (safe combo) and MAOI + Reboxetine...if it is not, I will go Reboxetine
Ace
Nardil, 60
Zyprexa, 2.5
Neurontin, 1800

Stick it out with the Neurontin. It takes anything time to work.

Like Tom G said, stick with it for some time. I personally dont really know whats going on here.
And about rexoxetine (Edronax®). I know 3 persons (including me) who did not very well on Rebox. Also my Doctor says its not a good drug.Anyway. I wish you a good ride on Reboxetine, whatever it will be :)

Hi, I'm currently on 600mg of Moclobemide but I'm only on the first week(day 5) so that shouldn't be relevant. Anyways, I actually took some Reboxetine last night that I had lying around for awhile. I had mixed feelings about it. Within an hour I had increased concentration and ability to sustain attention. I also found it was helpful for generalized anxiety and worrying. The downside was it didn't really help with social anxiety. I was more avoidant of people. Mainly because I felt more irritable and annoyed by people. All in all though, I might consider taking it in the future. Not alone though, maybe in a combo. Good luck!

Atomoxetine (Strattera) is a great drug, so is nortriptyline, but neither has helped me with anxiety and they would definitely not help with OCD. Is there any benzodiazepine available in Australia? Even a tiny amount of Klonopin (.25 mg) has done more for my anxiety than full doses of strattera and nortriptyline.

In general, I think reboxetine is unimpressive. Of course, it does work for some people, but not that many. It made my depression much worse.

For what it's worth..only SOME TCA's can be combined with MAOIs...and it also depends on the MAOI...for example: Amitriptyline can be combined with Nardil, but clomipramine cannot....and the MAOI MUST be slowly added to the TCA..TCA's cannot be added to MAOIs
have you tried L-tryptophan (or 5-HTP) added to Nardil?
Lithium can be added also
