HI everyone ive been on paxil for almost 7 weeks only on 30 mgs and the pdoc just up the dose to 40 mgs since im still not feeling 100 percent and i had a panic attack this past monday the first one in 19 days i was very upset. Im i going to get all the side effects agin just going up 10 mgs or should I b alright. This is the same does I was on before I stoped taking it for a few months then all the trouble came back and at that dose i was feeling normal and good after it took a long time to work. Please send some upbuilding information to me. Thank u Suebird

Paxil does take about six months to really reach it's peak effectiveness. I was on it for three funfilled, happy years, Honestly it was the happiest/least anxiety ridden I have ever been in my life. Give it time! :)

HiSummer Sanders, when were u on paxil? and how come u stopped the meds since you were doing so well I did the same thing but after a few months I had to go back on them was havin bad panic attacks agin and depression set in agin it took me well over 8 weeks to feel better before thats what my regular doc told me today so starting the end of next week I will be going into my 8 th week so im hoping things will improve. write back please suebird
