do a google search within this site and you'll find all the old and the new dope you can imagine on atyp. depression.... and yes , ironically enough its much more typical and prevalent than one would imagine.

Yes it is the most common form of depression, perhaps it was atypical back in the day when it was named. I have a hypothesis that then number of people who have atypical depression is increasing proportionally to the number of obese people.

I wish I had the kind of Depression where you lost weight. Others I am sure will no doubt disagree, but its easier to gain it than it is to lose it :) thats depressing in itself!

I'd say it's only easier to but weight on when you don't need to. Anorexics would have a very hard time putting on weight.
